Hi, I’m Catherine McLean

I’m a dedicated Nutritionist and Registered Nurse committed to empowering you on your journey toward better health and long-term wellbeing. My expertise spans weight management, hormone health, and bowel health — particularly in individuals with complex or layered health presentations.

My background in gastroenterology nursing has given me extensive experience in digestive health. I have supported individuals living with bowel disorders such as IBS and IBD, as well as those undergoing abdominal surgeries including bariatric procedures and bowel resections.

Digestive health is foundational. When the gut is not functioning optimally, it can affect:

  • Nutrient absorption

  • Immune function

  • Energy levels

  • Mood and mental clarity

  • Inflammation

  • Skin health

  • Hormone balance

I work to stabilise and strengthen digestive function so your body can properly utilise the nutrients you consume and reduce ongoing discomfort.

My dedication to women’s health is also deeply personal. Navigating menopause and its associated challenges — including weight changes, altered metabolism, sleep disturbance, and fluctuating energy — reshaped my understanding of how dynamic the female body truly is.

Hormonal transitions are not simply about willpower or discipline. They require:

  • Strategic protein intake

  • Muscle preservation

  • Blood sugar regulation

  • Stress modulation

  • Micronutrient adequacy

  • Realistic lifestyle adjustments

My lived experience, combined with clinical training, allows me to support women with both empathy and evidence-based guidance.

My Philosophy

Health is not about restriction or punishment.

It is about understanding how your body works — and giving it the appropriate fuel, structure, and support to function optimally.

True wellness considers:

  • Physiology

  • Medical treatments

  • Emotional wellbeing

  • Lifestyle realities

  • Long-term sustainability

When nutrition aligns with clinical understanding, the results are stronger, safer, and more sustainable.

My goal is not simply to help you lose weight or reduce symptoms.

It is to help you:

  • Feel energised

  • Preserve strength

  • Improve digestion

  • Stabilise hormones

  • Support recovery

  • Build confidence

  • Protect long-term health

Because quality of life matters.

If you’re ready to approach your health with clarity, structure, and personalised care, I would be honoured to support you.

Let’s do it properly.
